The Isle of Wight Bus Museum
The Isle of Wight Bus & Coach Museum was established in 1997 and contains an impressive display of vintage buses and coaches, collected to display the Island’s transport heritage.
The buses are housed in a former grain storage warehouse, on Newport Quay. They range from a 1889 tram car and a 1927 Daimler, to more recent vehicles. There are examples of vehicles under restoration, many items of memorabilia, and a vast collection of photographs reflecting the heyday of the Island as a holiday destination. |

Dinosaur Farm Museum
Situated on the Military Road (Coast Road A3055) near the village of Brighstone on the South-West coast of the Isle of Wight. Dinosaur Farm Museum is the oldest dinosaur museum on the Island. Established in 1993 after the discovery of a Brachiosaur-like dinosaur we call the Barnes High Sauropod; the museum has gone from a lowly cattle shed, to three renovated rooms for display. |

Dinosaur Isle, Isle of Wight
For nearly a century the Museum of Isle of Wight Geology, above Sandown Library, housed the Island's geology and fossil collections. On August 10th 2001 this changed with the opening of Dinosaur Isle, a purpose built interactive museum which replaced the old museum. Dinosaur Isle provides the space and facilities to properly display and conserve the rich geological collections. |

Isle of Wight Postal Museum
It is now some time since the collection moved to the Island and the site is taking shape nicely.
The majority of the pillar boxes are installed around the site with smaller and more delicate material displayed in purpose-built accommodation.
We hope you enjoy looking through the Web Site and we would be pleased to welcome you, in person, should you able to visit us on the Isle of Wight. To avoid disappointment, please contact us before you visit as the collection is only open to visitors by prior arrangement - we have ‘day jobs’ too! |

The Ferguson Family Museum
The Ferguson Family Museum was opened in 2003 by the grandson of Harry Ferguson. It is very much a personal and privately owned collection but tells the fascinating story of a man of great passion, creativity and inspiration. Having grown up as one of eleven children on a farm in Ireland he went on to become one of the 20th century’s most celebrated inventors and pioneers.
The collection celebrates the life and achievements of Harry Ferguson. It depicts his life and interests in the world of agriculture, aviation and motor racing. He is nowadays most famous for his “Little Grey Fergie” tractor. However many people are unaware of his engineering achievements in the worlds of aviation and motorsport. His vision saw a legacy of invention and design which are still an integral part of modern tractors, cars and aeroplanes. |
